    Description

This is a Vintage (pre-WWII), possibly Antique, Christian Reisser Trumpet in Very Good Working Condition.  It appears as though the trumpet is complete.
Many years ago, I played trumpet in my junior high school band --- I'm able to play this Christian Reisser.  After proper tuning, I believe it'll sound great.
The buttons are intact and work!
The slides are intact and easily move in and out of the tubes!
The mouthpiece is in very good condition!
The lower tube, near the mouthpiece, is slightly compressed just after the curve (as shown in photos 8 & 9).
The trumpet has several, but relatively minor, dents.  The edge of the bell has a small 1/2 inch crack (as shown in the second to last photo).
One weld between the tubes on the upper end of the bell has separated (as shown in the last photo).
    No carrying case.
Measurements:  20" length, 5.5" bell diameter
    Made in Germany
Reisser is an instrument dealer in Ulm, Germany, and has sold instruments for many years.  Their brass instruments are common throughout the brass bands of Germany.  This particular instrument is a rotary-valve trumpet pitched in Bb, as is traditional.  Unlike its piston-valved French relative, the leadpipe of the German rotary trumpet goes directly into the valves without extra wraps around the edge of the instrument.  This difference, in combination with the rotary valves, renders the rotary trumpet’s sound much mellower than that of a French trumpet.  The German trumpet is also held differently, with the instrument held horizontally, the keys on the right side and the bell on the left.
