Vintage Buescher Trumpet True Tone w/ Case and Mouthpiece.
This Buescher True Tone trumpet has definitely seen some trauma throughout its life. There’s a lot of evidence of past repair, some of it not so good, hence the discounted price considering what most go for. Bad news out of the way, this trumpet does play. Surprisingly all the slides and valves move, the most notable being the 2nd extension of the main tuning slide. I’ve never seen a Buescher True Tone where this part wasn’t stuck. The pistons also have an incredible amount of plating left considering their age, which helps the compression of the instrument a great deal. Overall, this isn’t a bad item for a collection. It’s a cool piece of history from old manufacturers that no longer make instruments. It also hosts unique features like triple brass valve guides and top sprung valves, the second being a very rare thing for the time period this instrument would’ve been made. The pearls on the top caps are really pretty and although it’s fairly worn, the infamous True Tone logo is still visible on the 2nd casing.
