Vintage 1990s Tweed British Airways World Traveler Blanket.
A very nice vintage airline tweed pattern blanket from the World Traveler cabin of Britain's flag carrier BRITISH AIRWAYS. A very nicely heavy weight blanket made of acrylic (looks and has a soft feel like wool, but it's easy washability convinces me it is acrylic), it is light grey in color with a darker dot pattern, reversed on the opposite side. A large World Traveler logo tag is sewn on one corner. Measures approximately 61 inches in length by 48 inches wide. It is in excellent flown condition, no holes, stains, tears, etc. Blanket has been freshly laundered in my washing machine and just hung on a line to dry, so there are the visible soft folds, but is ready for use or display.
British Airways has made multiple changes to its blankets, depending on the year, class of travel and aircraft.
Over time, blankets have gotten cheap, thin and lightweight.
I believe this to be from the 747, which had the best in-flight accessories, in 1989-1992.
It is so much more like an expensive blanket than the cheap fleece throws they use now in most airlines.

As a majority of my items are vintage, they have been previously owned, used and treasured by others and may have signs of everyday use and minimal imperfections.  Items are sold as is and returns/adjustments are only accepted when there was an error on my part.
I reuse and recycle as much of my shipping materials as possible.  Items are sent using United States Postal Service First Class, Priority or Media Mail services. They are weighed again prior to shipping; If I can get you a cheaper shipping rate after the item is sealed, packaged and ready for shipping, I will do that. The difference will be promptly refunded to the buyer.  Should you find and want to purchase other items I have for sale, I'm always happy to combine shipping.
If it is cheaper and the items will fit, I will ship using USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes, this is a huge savings to West Coast shoppers.
All payments must be made within 3 days of auction's close unless other arrangements are made via e-mail with the seller.
