I just purchased this vintage Fostoria Glass compote from a local estate here in Central Virginia. The piece was produced as part of Fostoria's Crown Collection which was designed by George Sakier (introduced in 1961, retired 1965). The compote is from the Navarre pattern and is well executed with crisp mold and nice detail to the embossed pattern. The Ruby glass shows rich color and bright clarity. The piece measures 7 ¾" high and 9 1/8" across the top rim. The compote is in excellent condition with no damage. This striking Navarre footed compote would make a nice addition to your retired Fostoria Glass Crown collection.
