Fossil Moon Snail Polinices Duplcataus
dug out of a pit in Naples Florida
approx 2.5" by 2.25" by 1.5"
I use reference books to identify my shells.  This one was identified in one book as Polinices Duplicataus and in other books as Neverita Duplicata.  They look exactly the same and both said they survive today as a "shark's eye" shell.
