Fossil Cretaceous Texigryphaea pitcheri oyster - New Mexico 06

Description

This is a specimen of Texigryphaea pitcheri collected from the lower Cretaceous Tucumcari formation in Quay Co, New Mexico.
It has both valves, which come apart, and measures 2.8" long.
