    Description

This beautiful set of Spode consists of 11, 10 1/4" dinner plates; 9, 7 3/4" salad plates; and 15 (RARE) 6 1/4"  bread/butter plates; there are 5 saucers for coffee cups that I am 'throwing into the lot' at no charge.
This superb Spode service is from the Estate of JACK LONDON, Glen Ellen, Ca.  It was likely ordered about 1910,  the time that London was building his dream home "Wolf House" on his huge Glen Ellen, California estate.   Although, sadly, London never occupied Wolf House as it caught fire and burned to a total loss.  London passed in 1916, but his wife Charmian lived on the estate until her death in the mid 1950s.  The plates were purchased at the London Estate sale prior to the property being turned over to the State of California as a State Park.  They were purchased at that time by a Sonoma resident whose family were long established builders/developers in Sonoma Valley.."Valley of the Moon" as London himself coined the name.  I purchased the plates from that lady not long before she passed.
This is a rare opportunity to acquire a significant quantity of this rare Spode pattern.  If one was to order these forty  pcs from 'Replacements' it would cost in excess of 00.  I am offering this fantastic service at HALF that price., f.o.b., Sonoma, Ca
