AMERICAN TEXTILE FOLK ART SMALL POSTAL "MAILING THEME" WALL OR TABLE COVER

Description

This early 20th C textile fits nicely into the period when sending letters and post cards was an important means of communication, and when post cards had themselves become collectible as souvenirs.  This hand embroidered pocket piece measures about 18" x 21" and is in very good condition, of course showing its age a bit.  There are the 3 pockets to slip materials into, including the stamp pockets for 1, 2 and 5 cents.  This might have been created based on a supplied pattern, or it could have been a unique creation.  Check out my OTHER ITEMS/SELLER STORE.
