Ambassador Trumpet Made By F.E. Olds & Son Los Angeles Calif. ~ Circa 1950
Up for auction is an Ambassador Trumpet model marked "Ambassador Made By F.E. Olds & Son Los Angeles Calif.".  The trumpet is also marked with serial # 44440 which indicates 1950 to be the date of manufacture.
The trumpet has two dents on the tubing and has heavy finish wear, whereas the bell is dent free but is slightly oxidized and has several scratches to the finish.  The pistons sometimes stick in the down position or take a while to come back up to the ready position after they are released.  A mouthpiece is included that is marked "
Olds 3".  Also included are
a mute marked with an illegible trademark,
an original Olds band stand marked "Olds",  and a hard case marked on the inside with "BUILT LIKE A FORTRESS Lifton MADE IN USA".  Also, as a note, the main tuning slide on the trumpet can be seen in the photos as being in an extreme forward position.  This slide can be pushed all the way back to the rear position with no problem. The dimensions of the trumpet and case are given below.  Thank you for your interest!

This is a USED instrument that is UNTESTED. We do not have the experience to say what kind of play quality this instrument may have. We do recommend that all used instruments be fully cleaned and serviced prior to use. Change the pads (where applicable).
